(CBS News) This Sunday’s TV Land Awards will not only celebrate some of TV’s best moments, but the event will also find host Kelly Ripa dressing as Wonder Woman and Catwoman.

The 10th annual ceremony, which taped earlier this month in New York, honors the casts of “Laverne & Shirley,” “Murphy Brown,” “In Living Color,” “One Day At a Time” and “Pee-wee’s Playhouse.”

For some of the actors, it had been years since they’ve all been in the same place.

New Beatles concert film to open in movie theaters

The Beatles’ first full concert in the United States at the Washington Coliseum in Washington, D.C. will be screened in movie theaters next month, Deadline Hollywood reports. “The Beatles: The Lost Concert” will be shown in a limited engagement at theaters across the United States on May 17 and 22, with a special premiere at the Ziegfeld Theater in Manhattan on May 6.

CBS’ iconic newsman Mike Wallace dies at 93

(CBS/AP) – CBS News legend Mike Wallace, the “60 Minutes” pit-bull reporter whose probing, brazen style made his name synonymous with the tough interview, died last night. He was 93 and passed peacefully surrounded by family members at Waveny Care Center in New Canaan, Conn., where he spent the past few years.

“All of us at CBS News and particularly at ’60 Minutes’ owe so much to Mike. Without him and his iconic style, there probably wouldn’t be a ’60 Minutes,’ said Jeff Fager, chairman CBS News and executive producer of “60 Minutes.”

Wilson Phillips honors Beach Boys, Mamas & Papas

Wilson Phillips made quite the splash when they appeared on the hit movie “Bridesmaids” alongside “Saturday Night Live” favorites Maya Rudolph and Kristen Wiig, performing their memorable hit song, “Hold On.”

Now, they’re ringing in their 20th anniversary as a vocal trio with their latest album, “Dedicated,” which pays tribute to their parents, who were members of legendary Beach Boys and The Mamas & the Papas.

The talented trio stopped by “Second Cup Cafe” on “CBS This Morning: Saturday” to perform “California Dreamin’” — a Mama & the Papas classic, and “Hold On,” a Beach Boys mega-hit.

Bee Gee Robin Gibb wakes from coma

Bee Gees singer Robin Gibb has woken from a coma more than a week after he lost consciousness and has attempted to communicate with family members at his hospital bedside, the BBC reported on Saturday.

Gibb, 62, has begun to show signs of recovery and has been able to nod and communicate with his family, spokesman Doug Wright was quoted as saying by the BBC. Wright could not immediately be reached to confirm the report.

Jonathan Frid, who played Barnabas Collins in ‘Dark Shadows’ show, dead at 87

Actor Jonathan Frid, who played imposing and elegant vampire Barnabas Collins on the gothic soap opera “Dark Shadows,” has died at 87. Frid passed away on April 14 from natural causes in his native Ontario.

“Dark Shadows” ran from 1966 to 1971, drawing 20 million viewers at its peak. Frid joined the show in 1967 and his character, an elegant vampire recently freed from his chained coffin and returning to his family’s estate, Collinwood, quickly became the unquestioned star.

Levon Helm of the Band dies at 71

Levon Helm, singer and drummer for the Band, died on April 19 in New York of throat cancer. He was 71.

“He passed away peacefully at 1:30 this afternoon surrounded by his friends and bandmates,” Helm’s longtime guitarist Larry Campbell tells Rolling Stone. “All his friends were there, and it seemed like Levon was waiting for them. Ten minutes after they left we sat there and he just faded away. He did it with dignity. It was even two days ago they thought it would happen within hours, but he held on. It seems like he was Levon up to the end, doing it the way he wanted to do it. He loved us, we loved him.”

‘America’s oldest teen’ Dick Clark dies

Los Angeles (CNN) — Broadcast icon Dick Clark, the longtime host of the influential “American Bandstand,” has died, publicist Paul Shefrin said. He was 82.

Clark suffered a heart attack while at St. John’s Hospital in Santa Monica for an outpatient procedure, his publicist said Wednesday. “Attempts to resuscitate were unsuccessful.”

The family has not yet decided whether there will be a public memorial service for the multifaceted Clark, although Shefrin said, “There will be no funeral.”

‘Breaking Bad’ star robbed twice while filming show

Aaron Paul, who plays a messed-up meth dealer on AMC’s “Breaking Bad,” revealed via Twitter this week that he was the victim of not one but two robberies recently while working on the popular series in Albuquerque.

“I’ve been robbed twice since I’ve been in ABQ shooting Breaking Bad,” Paul tweeted earlier this week, KOAT reports. “First time was my car and this time around it was my house.” (This and other tweets on the matter have since been deleted.)
