The 84-year-old comic legend says he has no sympathy for the troubled starlet, and has threatened to haul off and hit her if they ever crossed paths.
“I’d smack her in the mouth if I saw her,” Lewis said in a tirade taped by Inside Edition. “I would smack her in the mouth and be arrested for abusing a woman!”

SYDNEY – Actor Paul Hogan, star of the “Crocodile Dundee” movie trilogy, has been cleared to return home to the United States after he was barred last month from leaving Australia because of a disputed tax bill, his lawyer said Friday.
The 70-year-old Australian-born actor, who currently lives in Los Angeles, arrived in Sydney on Aug. 20 to attend his mother’s funeral and was served with an Australian Taxation Office order barring him from leaving Australia until he settles a multimillion dollar tax bill, lawyer Andrew Robinson said last week.

LOS ANGELES — Michael Douglas said on Tuesday he felt optimistic about recovering from throat cancer but drew gasps when he told a television audience he had the most advanced stage
The 65-year-old “Wall Street” actor told talk-show host David Letterman that a biopsy indicated that his cancer was at stage 4, which he described as “intense, and so they’ve got to go at it …”
Letterman asked whether stage 4 was a good diagnosis. “Um no,” Douglas replied, according to a transcript provided by CBS’ “Late Show with David Letterman.” “You like to be down at stage one … but it has not — the big thing you’re always worried about is it spreading.

Emmy had a split personality this year. Television’s annual awards show honored hot new broadcast comedies “Modern Family” and “Glee,” while sticking with more familiar favorites from cable in drama.
“Modern Family” won the Emmy for best comedy in its rookie season. The sweetly uproarious sitcom knit together a gay couple and their adopted daughter, a more traditional bumbling dad and his uptight wife, and a world-weary patriarch with his hot young Latin wife — and became an instant favorite on ABC.

LAS VEGAS – From flags to Facebook, 22-year-old Jimena Navarrete has quickly made it clear what she plans to promote as the world’s newest Miss Universe — her home country of Mexico.
“I want the whole world to know about my country and my people,” the Guadalajara native said after beating 82 competitors for global bragging rights at the pageant in Las Vegas.
“I imagine that they’re all going crazy in Mexico right now,” she said through an interpreter. “I’m extremely proud and I’m sure they’re very proud, too.”

LOS ANGELES — Newly ubiquitous “Golden Girls” veteran Betty White won the fifth Emmy of her career on Saturday for hosting an episode of “Saturday Night Live,” beating out last year’s winner, Tina Fey.
White, 88, claimed the award for guest actress in a comedy series during the “creative arts” portion of the Primetime Emmy Awards, where more than 70 awards, mostly in technical categories, were handed out. The 26 high-profile categories will be announced during a live broadcast on August 29.

(CNN) — Before she uttered the N-word, before her remarks on cheated-on wives, before the controversies over homosexuality and religion and morality, Laura Schlessinger was considered a breath of fresh air.
“Despite the fact that many consider Laura Schlessinger the dragon lady of talk radio, some of us can’t help but admire her,” noted a decidedly mixed 1999 consideration of her in Salon. “She is snippish, overbearing and often insulting — but anybody who has the temerity to call in to her program knows what they are going to get, especially if they plead ignorance or innocence.”

Los Angeles, California (CNN) — Zsa Zsa Gabor underwent surgery for the removal of a blood clot Friday night, a complication relating to her recent hip replacement surgery, her publicist said.
Gabor was rushed to Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles after her husband called an ambulance to their Bel Air, California home, spokesman John Blanchette said.
Gabor, 93, is expected to remain in the hospital for several days, Blanchette said,
