(CNN) — Has Carly Simon finally told the world the subject of “You’re So Vain”?
In a new version of the 1972 hit song from her album “Never Been Gone,” the singer whispers a name during an instrumental break. Played backward, the name is revealed to be “David.”
Simon, 64, gave an interview to Uncut magazine about the backward whispering, which prompted the U.K. tabloid The Sun to report that “David” is record executive David Geffen.
But Simon’s publicist disputed the theory.

It’s funny that rocker Dilana is not a fan of “American Idol.”
The 37-year-old singer [who prefers to go by her first name] who herself participated on a musical competition reality show, admits that she has never liked Idol nor is she a fan of the song choices available to the contestants.
But she is nevertheless connected to the popular Fox show.
Last season’s runner up Adam Lambert sang a version of “Ring of Fire” that many fans believe was based on Dilana’s version of the Johnny Cash tune and Lambert’s fellow contestant Allison Iraheta covers Dilana’s song, “Holiday,” on her new album.
“They are both amazingly talented,” Dilana said of the “American Idol” pair. “And if [Iraheta] can sell a few million records, I’m not going to complain.”

(PEOPLE.com) — In the latest skirmish in his war with TLC, Jon Gosselin has filed a $5 million claim against the network, saying its representatives damaged his reputation and career by preventing him from working with other media outlets.
In the suit, the reality star dad claims that the network contacted various media outlets he’d been in touch with to persuade them to stop dealing with him.
“Their behavior has caused Jon great anguish and it has caused him financial losses,” said his attorney, Mark Heller, who maintains Gosselin did not have an attorney or a manager present when he signed the contract for “Jon and Kate Plus Eight” with TLC last year.

While her infamous alter ego was uneducated, Katey is thoughtful and well-spoken; Peg’s fashion is time-warped (hello, bouffant!), Katey’s is earthy; for every ounce of laziness in Peg’s body, Katey has a multitasking one to match.
It may have taken years for the actress to shake her TV counterpart, but watch Katey as fierce matriarch Gemma Morrow on FX’s motorcycle drama “Sons of Anarchy” (which was released on DVD Tuesday), and you’ll start to wonder, “Peg who?”
Rachel Bertsche: You’re known for playing three very different mothers — “Married with Children’s” Peg Bundy, Kate from “8 Simple Rules” and now Gemma. Plus, you have three kids of your own, two teenagers and a 2 1/2-year-old. Given all that on- and off-screen mothering experience, is there any universal quality that you would say all moms have?

However, the star of TLC’s “Jon & Kate Plus 8,” who continues to wear her wedding ring, said that’s not because of any hope of reuniting with Jon.
Speaking on Monday’s “Today Show” in her first live TV interview since her marriage ended seven weeks ago, Kate broke into tears as she told the program’s Meredith Vieira that the ring remains on her finger because “I don’t want to upset [the children].”
The sextuplets and twins, all under the age of 10, “know that it’s my ‘married to Daddy’ ring,” she said.
Repeatedly describing herself as “determined to hang in there,” Gosselin, 34, said “I am as well as can be expected” and prepared to deal with whatever life hands her. Her chief concern, she made clear, is “the health and well-being of my children.” PEOPLE.com: Covers of celebrity divorces
