SYDNEY – Actor Paul Hogan, star of the “Crocodile Dundee” movie trilogy, has been cleared to return home to the United States after he was barred last month from leaving Australia because of a disputed tax bill, his lawyer said Friday.

The 70-year-old Australian-born actor, who currently lives in Los Angeles, arrived in Sydney on Aug. 20 to attend his mother’s funeral and was served with an Australian Taxation Office order barring him from leaving Australia until he settles a multimillion dollar tax bill, lawyer Andrew Robinson said last week.

The 65-year-old “Wall Street” actor told talk-show host David Letterman that a biopsy indicated that his cancer was at stage 4, which he described as “intense, and so they’ve got to go at it …”

Letterman asked whether stage 4 was a good diagnosis. “Um no,” Douglas replied, according to a transcript provided by CBS’ “Late Show with David Letterman.” “You like to be down at stage one … but it has not — the big thing you’re always worried about is it spreading.

LOS ANGELES — Zsa Zsa Gabor returned to the hospital on Tuesday for being “not responsive,” her spokesman said, following a series of health-related setbacks since breaking her hip in July.

John Blanchette, a spokesman for the 93-year-old actress, told Reuters that Gabor’s husband, Frederick Prinz von Anhalt, called emergency personnel to take his wife to the University of California Los Angeles because she was “not responsive” and “doctors want her in right away.”

“Sadly, we can confirm that Martin Short’s wife did pass away,” Camille Kuznetz said Monday. “We do not have any other comment to make.”

SAN FRANCISCO — Actress Zsa Zsa Gabor, a fixture in Hollywood for six decades, asked that a priest read her the last rites on Sunday, following hospitalization two days earlier due to complications from hip surgery.

The 93-year-old Gabor, whose string of movies, television shows and wealthy husbands dates to the 1950s, was visited by a priest at the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center, her husband Frederick Prinz von Anhalt, told Reuters.

Gabor was able to speak “very little,” though she was conscious, he said.

On August 21, Cridersville, Ohio, will be renamed Snidersville, Ohio, in honor of metal legend Dee Snider. The 55-year-old musician, who hosts the nationally-syndicated House of Hair radio show, requested that the town switch up its name after a listener from Cridersville called in to request a song of his. The request was in jest, but then the town agreed to make it happen – at least for a day, according to a statement.

(CNN) — A North Carolina woman is alleging that “American Idol” winner Fantasia Barrino engaged in an affair with her husband, and says in court documents that the pair “recorded” their sexual encounters.

Paula Cook, who separated from her husband, Antwaun Cook, in June, filed the documents — seeking child custody, alimony and other monetary support — Wednesday in Mecklenburg County District Court.

Los Angeles, California (CNN) — Zsa Zsa Gabor’s recovery from hip replacement surgery last month has been slower than predicted, but her daughter disputed a report that the actress “suffered a setback” Saturday.

“She is no different than she was from yesterday or the day before,” Francesca Hilton, who was at her mother’s hospital bedside, said Saturday. She was awake watching TV and eating, Hilton said.
