LAS VEGAS — The physician criminally charged in the death of pop superstar Michael Jackson is keeping his Nevada medical license.

Deputy Nevada State Board of Medical Examiners chief Edward Cousineau told The Associated Press on Wednesday that Dr. Conrad Murray admitted to making inaccurate and incomplete statements to the board about being current on child support.

LOS ANGELES – Bret Michaels is in critical condition suffering from a brain hemorrhage, his publicist said Friday.

Joann Mignano, Michaels’ New York-based publicist, confirmed a report on People magazine’s website that said the former Poison frontman was rushed to intensive care late Thursday after a severe headache. The report said doctors discovered bleeding at the base of his brain stem.

Mignano said tests are being conducted but did not know where he was being treated.

Los Angeles, California (CNN) — Dr. Conrad Murray, personal physician to Michael Jackson, was charged Monday with involuntary manslaughter in connection with the pop star’s death last summer.

A criminal complaint filed earlier in the day alleged that Murray “did unlawfully, and without malice, kill Michael Joseph Jackson.”

Murray turned himself in shortly before 4 p.m. at a branch courthouse near Los Angeles International Airport. He pleaded not guilty during a brief hearing before Judge Keith L. Schwartz.

Los Angeles, California (CNN) — Dr. Conrad Murray expects to surrender to Los Angeles authorities this week on charges relating to the death of Michael Jackson, his lawyer said Tuesday.

“Dr. Murray is more than ready to surrender and answer to any charges,” attorney Ed Chernoff said.

Prosecutors have not announced any charges, however, and Murray has not been told how or where he should surrender, according to Miranda Sevcik, spokeswoman for Murray’s legal team.

David Hasselhoff and his ex-wife Pamela Bach are having a troubled start to the holiday season — one landing in the hospital, the other in jail over the Thanksgiving weekend.

Hasselhoff was hospitalized for two days, PEOPLE has confirmed, though his attorney Mel Goldsman would not disclose the nature of his illness.

“David is home now and he’s fine,” said Goldsman.

Hasselhoff’s troubles began at home on Friday. Though authorities did not identify the name of the patient or the owner of the home, a fire department spokesman did confirm that paramedics responded to a call for medical aid at 11:51 a.m. at a home in Encino, and the patient was transported by ambulance to a local hospital. People learned that the address of the home matches the one owned by Hasselhoff.

Dr. Michael Kamrava demonstrated “a pattern of behavior that violated the group’s standards,” American Society for Reproductive Medicine spokesman Sean Tipton said.

An employee at Kamrava’s Beverly Hills, California, clinic — the West Coast IVF Clinic — said the doctor would not be commenting on the expulsion.

The expulsion, which was imposed last month and just announced, does not affect Kamrava’s ability to practice, because affiliation with the professional association is voluntary.

Suleman was 33 years old in January 2009 when she gave birth to eight babies. She was a single woman who already had six young children conceived through in-vitro fertilization.

The drugs propofol and lorazepam were found to be the primary drugs responsible for Mr. Jackson’s death,” said a news release issued Friday by the coroner. “Other drugs detected were: midazolam, diazepam, lidocaine and ephedrine.”

The release said Jackson died from “acute propofol intoxication,” but said “other conditions contributing to death: benzodiazepine effect.”

Lorazepam, midazolam and diazepam are benzodiazepines.

A lawyer for Jackson’s personal physician criticized the coroner for releasing only a brief summary of his findings, saying it contained “nothing new” and had “all the earmarks of police gamesmanship.”

Michael Jackson’s family issued a statement in reaction: “The Jackson family again wishes to commend the actions of the Coroner, the LAPD and other law enforcement agencies, and looks forward to the day that justice can be served.”

LOS ANGELES – Dr. Conrad Murray was in dire financial shape when he signed on as Michael Jackson’s personal physician earlier this year at $150,000 a month.

The Las Vegas cardiologist owed a total of at least $780,000 in judgments against him and his medical practice, outstanding mortgage payments on his house, delinquent student loans, child support and credit cards.

Court records chronicling Murray’s woes in Las Vegas, where authorities searched his home this week as part of a manslaughter investigation into Jackson’s death, might help explain why — beyond the chance to get close to a celebrity — Murray seized the chance to keep the pop star healthy through a series of concerts in London.

But more than that, the financial pressures on Murray could help prosecutors establish a motive if he ends up facing charges.
