Owen Hunt and Cristina Yang have been a staple couple of “Grey’s Anatomy” since the fifth season, but they’ve had one of the most tumultuous relationships to date. That’s saying a lot, especially considering the other couples have had to deal with cancer, a near-death drowning experience and unexpected children popping up … twice.

But now, it seems that the damage is irreparable between the two surgeons. After the explosive ending of the Jan. 19 episode, “Hope for the Hopeless,” viewers learned that Owen still hasn’t forgiven Cristina for getting an abortion – despite the fact that he supportively held her hand through the experience.

NEW YORK (AP) — Ben Gazzara, whose powerful dramatic performances brought an intensity to a variety of roles and made him a memorable presence in such iconic productions over the decades as the original “Cat on a Hot Tin Roof” on Broadway and the film “The Big Lebowski,” has died at age 81.

Longtime family friend Suzanne Mados said Gazzara died Friday in Manhattan. Mados, who owned the Wyndham Hotel, where celebrities such as Peter Falk and Martin Sheen stayed, said he died after being placed in hospice care for cancer. She and her husband helped marry Gazzara and his wife, German-born Elke Krivat, at their hotel.

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Ian Abercrombie, a veteran British stage and screen actor whose TV roles included Elaine’s boss Mr. Pitt on “Seinfeld” and the voice of Chancellor Palpatine in the animated TV series “Star Wars: The Clone Wars,” has died. He was 77.

A website statement from LucasArts said Abercrombie died Friday. A friend, Cathy Lind Hayes, told the Los Angeles Times that Abercrombie died at a Los Angeles hospital from complications of kidney failure and recently had been diagnosed with lymphoma.

The 18th annual Screen Actors Guild Awards honored first-time and sixth-time winners alike on Sunday night.

Octavia Spencer and Viola Davis received SAG awards for their supporting and leading roles, respectively, in “The Help,” which also took home the award for outstanding cast in a motion picture.

Meanwhile, ABC sitcom “Modern Family” accepted its second Actor for outstanding performance by an ensemble, as did HBO’s hit drama, “Boardwalk Empire.”

Los Angeles (CNN) — A woman called 911 soliciting help for actress Demi Moore, whom she said was “convulsing” and “burning up” after “smoking something,” according to a recording of the call obtained Friday from the Los Angeles Fire Department.

The star of “Ghost,” “A Few Good Men,” “G.I. Jane” and other films was rushed to a Southern California hospital late Monday night after the call.

The 911 call features an unidentified woman referring to Moore and saying, “She smoked something — it’s not marijuana, but it’s similar to incense. And she seems to be having convulsions of some sort.”

Ryan Seacrest is getting his own TV network after all.

The multi-hyphenate, along with partners AEG and talent agency CAA, have struck a deal with billionaire entrepreneur Mark Cuban to rebrand his HDNET as AXS TV (pronounced Access) beginning this summer.

The channel’s programming lineup will rely heavily on live lifestyle and live entertainment fare, leveraging the music assets of AEG, a top venue owner and and tour promoter, and the A-list connections and production capabilities of Seacrest. As part of the rebrand, the network will cater to pop culture and entertainment enthusiasts rather than the younger, heavily-male demographic that HDNet historically has targeted. Cuban will continue to lead the channel on behalf of the venture, with Denver, Co.-based Philip Garvin still involved as general manager of network operations.

After 43 years of daytime drama, “One Life to Live” will live no more once Friday’s final episode airs.

The end of the soap opera marks the end of a series of ups and downs for fans of the Lord family saga. In April of 2011, viewers first learned that “One Life to Live,” along with its network companion “All My Children,” would soon be no more. But then there was hope. Prospect Park promised to bring shows back to life online. Unfortunately for the soaps’ faithful followers, the plan didn’t pan out.

LOS ANGELES — Big Hollywood names claimed trophies at Sunday night’s Golden Globe awards, with legends Meryl Streep, Martin Scorsese, Woody Allen and George Clooney picking up honors.

Streep, who plays former British prime minister Margaret Thatcher in “The Iron Lady,” won the award for best actress in a motion picture drama.

Clooney won the best actor award for his role in “The Descendants,” and the film itself later won for best motion picture drama. In the film, Clooney plays a Hawaiian land baron who struggles with family issues as his cheating wife lies in a coma.

Jamie Lee Curtis is gearing up to shake things up both romantically and professionally for Mark Harmon’s Leroy Jethro Gibbs on “NCIS” later this season.

“We haven’t touched on his personal life in awhile and we’re about to introduce a woman that’s going to get people going,” show boss Gary Glasberg told AccessHollywood.com on Wednesday at the Television Critics Association Winter Session 2012, when asked about future plans for the popular character. “Just look for Jamie Lee Curtis.”
