Letterman apologizes to wife on Monday night’s show

Full Story at CNN.com

The host of CBS’ “Late Show” said he now has to try to repair his relationship with Regina Lasko.

“Either you’re going to make some progress and get it fixed, or you’re going to fall short and perhaps not get it fixed, so let me tell you folks, I got my work cut out for me,” he told the audience.

The apology came about 15 minutes into the show, but Letterman fired self-deprecating zinger after zinger as soon as he strode on stage and began his opening monologue.

“I mean, I’ll be honest with you folks,” he said. “Right now, I would give anything to be hiking on the Appalachian Trail. I got in the car this morning — and the navigation lady wasn’t speaking to me.”

It can be overcome. They must try as hard as they can. I’ve been there and the “other sde” , once it’s gone and and forgiven and people move on, it will be a stronger relationship. Dave is human. We are ALL FALLABLE….every one of us.
I do not agree with what he did…..he was not married…..move on.

    Good luck Dave and Regina!

Come on America. Enough is enough, David is like any other scum bag. He’s just paid more than others. He is a wretched example of a man, mocking all who are foolish enough to watch him.

While everyone makes mistakes, I am really appalled by Letterman’s revelation; one that was only made because it was forced. Had this not occurred, he would have continued living a lie with the mother of his child. I can’t help but be reminded of the charade put on by Bill Clinton. It is curious how Letterman delivers quite a few jokes about the bad choices made by other public figures and now has been caught making bad choices. He was free to choose to live his life as he pleased, but he is not free to choose the public reaction to his life, nor the reaction of his wife. Most likely, he will move on from this because in the end, all that matters to the decision makers in America is money. As long as Letterman’s ratings are not affected, he we be “forgiven.” His legacy, however, is tarnished.

David is a natural human. You can count how many guys had or always want to have such affairs. Don’t blame him so much. The key is he can publicly confess and apologize to his family.

It’s time for him to retire and leave his crap at home.

He doesn’t have any morals or any decency to manipulate Americans every night.

Hang it up Letterman. Your treatment of women in the workplace would get you fired in most companies but what you did to your wife is even more terrible. Your jokes are no longer funny no matter how hard you try. Next channel.
